About OpenType

OpenType fonts are natively supported on Windows 2000, Windows XP and Mac OS X.
With ATM (Light or Deluxe), you can use them as far back as Windows 98 and Mac OS 8.6.

OpenType fonts can be used on both Macintosh and Windows platforms. They can contain up to 65,000 characters, and may include Western characters as well as non-Western characters, or a wide range of glyphs including ligatures, fractions, old style figures, and small caps.

Below are some older Adobe applications that do not recognize PostScript flavored OpenType fonts and may fail to
include them in their font menus.
* Adobe® Dimensions® 3
* Illustrator® 7 and 8 (versions 9 and 10 work)
* Photoshop® 5.0 (versions 5.5 through 7 all work)
* Adobe® PhotoDeluxe® 1-3
* ImageReady™ 1.0 (version 2 and 3 work)
* Acrobat® 4.00 (version 4.05 and 5 work fine, but text featuring extended OpenType characters may not copy
and paste correctly or be searchable, depending on how the PDF was generated)
