The descending letters such as 'p', 'g', 'q', 'y' in the font are clipping. What is causing this?

All Fontsmith fonts are built with identical vertical metrics within the font family. This means that every font weight within a family will have an identical baseline and no clipping of descending base letters should occur.

Please ensure that you are using the correct Fontsmith supplied web font files. It is common for developers to build web font formats independantly in violation of our studio license agreement. Web font files either built independantly or via third party software will undoubtedly have technical issues. Always use Fontsmith supplied web font files.

Additionally, please ensure that you are not applying strong negative line-height adjustments in your CSS. In some environments this may cause a bounding box clipping appearance.
